As you've probably noticed I am trying out different styles when I paint. This Is really a perfect example of something different . I feel like this is far away from my other work. but still. I will try to do more like this to practice my pencil!

Birthday present...

My dear friend, Alida, asked me if she could come over for a glass of wine on a mission.
Her father was about to turn 50 and she wanted to give him something special.
She has not been painting for a while herself and needed some help and inspiration trying out new styles and techniques. So we did. Abstract evening we called it. And with several hands and great minds we came up with this:

What to say... Outer space?

I have painted this canvas so many times I don't even know how many layers it has. Anyways, a certain someone has noted her interest in this work to appear in her house... so maybe it will:)

"Lolita"

When I first started painting lolita I felt something I couldn't quite describe. I still feel that way. But I guess I want her to show weakness. She acts much like a victim in this world. She feels small, and out of control of her life. I like to look at her as the total opposite of me, but realize that sometimes we all feel a bit like Lolita.
